The New Deal (Music)
Wow, what a blast from the past. I was randomly looking through old music folders on my computer and ran across some MP3's from The New Deal. Surprised that I still had them, I loaded them up into Winamp and had some great nostalgic memories from partying back in Willoughby during my college years. Anyway, for those who might be interested, The New Deal is a jazzotronic «live improvised breakbeat house» (their words) group that is supremely talented, blending Basement Jaxx-type techno with well-timed beatboxing and amazing percussion. Their first album is done without samples or sequencers, and Back to the Middle (the title track) is amazing and fast-paced.
Cannot recommend it enough.
